Priya Gupta is Head of Legal Affairs at RadioPro, where she oversees the legal side of the company's operations. She has more than 18 years of experience in media law and corporate governance.

She studied law with a specialisation in media and intellectual property rights, which shaped her focus on the questions that arise when creative work and technology meet.

She began at a law firm working on corporate law across several sectors, securing clients' operations and protecting their intellectual property.

She then served as Senior Legal Counsel at a multinational corporation, overseeing global legal strategy with a focus on compliance, risk management and corporate ethics, and led negotiations on mergers and acquisitions.

Before RadioPro she was Vice President of Legal Affairs at a digital streaming service, where she wrote policies that met global broadcasting standards while supporting digital innovation and content security.

At RadioPro she leads the legal function in copyright law, licensing agreements and regulatory compliance, and makes sure the company's operations meet legal standards in the jurisdictions where it works.

She is involved in partnership negotiations, protecting the company's assets and intellectual property while keeping business relationships workable. She also looks at the legal implications of new technologies and platforms.

She holds that legal work should anticipate problems rather than respond to them, and that the wider company should understand the legal basis of what it does.
